Dupuytren’s Contracture

Join us in hearing the expertise of local hand surgeon Dr. Lonnie Moskow of South County Orthopedic Specialists, who will be discussing Dupuytren's Contracture and the different types of medical/surgical management utilized for this contracture and how to determine which method is best. His presentation will be followed by HTSGOC Treasurer, Dr. Janelle Freshman- Director of Hand Therapy at South County Orthopedic Specialists and Certified Hand Therapist- who will be speaking on the hand therapy protocols typical to each methodology.

Lonnie J Moskow, MD

Dr. Moskow is from Philadelphia. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for both his undergraduate and medical school studies where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

He fellowship trained in hand and microvascular surgery at Sydney Hospital Hand Center, world-renowned center for hand surgery, in Sydney, Australia. He is a Clinical Instructor, School of Medicine, Dept. of Orthopedics, UC Irvine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds an added certificate in hand surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He limits his practice to treatment of the hand and upper extremity. He is team physician for Laguna Hills H.S. He came to the Saddleback area in 1990.

Janelle Freshman

PT, DPT, OCS, CHT

Janelle graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1994 with a BS in Physical Therapy. She has been a CHT since 2006. She completed her transitional DPT at Western University of Health Sciences in 2011. She has been an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2002. She has been a part-time lecturer at California State University, Long Beach in the PT department and currently is a guest lecturer. Janelle is employed in the hand therapy department at South County Orthopedic Specialists. Janelle has been involved in volunteer efforts in Nicaragua since 2012. When she is not working, Janelle enjoys traveling and living abroad with her husband.
